Top teams like the Phillies, Giants, Braves, Diamondbacks, Rangers, Angels, and Tigers don’t need a closer, so this does not look like a outstanding year, exceptionally since the Red Sox seem to have their own “closer in waiting”. So, let’s look for Papelbon to get interest only from mid to little market teams who need a closer to be competitive.
