Love the design but doesn’t wash well

Just purchased this for my son’s birthday. Before putting it on his bed, I washed it like I do all new bedding. I did wash it in cold water to try and protect the color but the material and design instantly faded and there are white faded lines throughout the design. I would normally return the item but he’s so excited about it that he couldn’t wait to sleep with it. I do, however, really like the design and bought the matching clock. He’s one happy little boy!!!

I bought this for my 10 year daughter and she loved it shes a huge dallas fan she couldnt be more thrilled.Looks great in her room!
