<p>First  of  all  I  would  like  to  say  I  did  1  full  round  of  P90x  and  Insanity  and  have  gotten  great  results  with  both  programs.  Insanity  and  P90x  are  both  from  the  company  Beachbody.  Beachbody  programs  always  come  with  outstanding  client  support(  30  day  cash  back  return  policy)  and  dependable  and  prompt  shipping.  Both  arrive  in  nice  boxes  that  integrate  fitness  guides  nutrition  guides  the  DVD  workouts  and  calenders  to  mark  off  your  each and everyday  completion.  But  Insanity&#8217;s  fitness  guide  is  a  little  pamphlet  getting  right  to  the  basics(  they  say  in  the  infomercial  they  want  us  working  out  not  reading).  The  P90x  fitness  guide  has  a  lot  of  pages.</p>
<p>P90x  is  a  90  day  in  house  boot  camp  system  that  promises  great  results  in  90  days  it  has  12  workout  routines  and  is  based  on  Muscle  Confusion-  Basically  saying  doing  6-7(  day  7  is  X-Stretch  or  Rest)  dissimilar  workouts  for the duration of  the  week  so  you  don&#8217;t  hit  a  plateau  and  stop  seeing  results.YOU  MUS  HAVE  A  PULL  UP  BAR  OR  SOME  WAY  OF  DOING  PULL  UPS  OR  CHIN  UPS.Perform  the  p90x  fit  test  see  if  P90x  is  right  for  you.The  P90x  fit  test  is  8  routines  measured  by  reps  in  a  specific  time(  use  modifications  at  will).  90x  is  broken  down  into  3  phases  or  months.  The  primary  3  weeks  of  these  phases  you  will  finish  the  same  6-7  exercises  all around  the  week  but  on  the  last  week  of  the  month  is  called  the  recovery  phase  where  you  are  introduced  to  a  new  full  week  of  exercises  that  grant  your  body  to  rest  from  the  resistance  training  and  have  cardio  and  ab  focuses  workouts  allround  this  week.  This  week  is  no  joke!!  Here  are  the  workouts  for  P90X:</p>

<p>In  the  second  phase  of  P90x  they  introduce  2  new  workouts  into  the  6-7  workouts  and  remove  2  so  you  still  are  doing  6-7  workouts  weekly.  This  allows  more  muscle  confusedness  to  take  place  on  the  resistance  training  days  due  to  the  2  new  resistance  workouts.  They  are  aweinspiring  too.  New  moves  and  harder  than  phase  one!!  3  weeks  of  this  again  then  the  same  recovery  week.</p>
<p>The  last  phase  is  the  best  this  is  when  the  unfeigned  muscle  confusedness  kicks  in!  Every  weeks  are  swapped  back  and  forth  to  continuously  trick  your  body  through  dissimilar  exercises.  For  instance:  What  you  did  for  week  1  you  will  do  for  (Month  1)  weeks  1  and  week  3  and  what  you  did  for  (Month  2)  week  1  happens  in  the  2nd  week  then  back  to  week  1  of  the  basi  month  and  son  and  so  forth.  (weeks  1,week  5  week  1  week  5  then  the  outstanding  recovery  week).</p>
<p>Shaun  T&#8217;s  Insanity  is  a  home  based  Cardio)  workout  that  promises  and  total  body  transformation  in  63  day  The  Insanity  Deluxe  scheme  has  12  Dvds  also(  base  kit  has  9).The  Insanity  system  is  based  on  Max  Interval  Training-Basically  bringing  your  heart  rate  up  high  for  long  periods  of  time  and  having  minimal  rest  periods(about  30-60  seconds).  This  is  the  most difficult  workout  ever  put  on  DVD!  I  may  frankly  say  the  infomercial  was  right!You  likewise  carry out  Fit  tests  allround  Insanity  (5  times)  to  track  your  progress.  It  actually  is  astounding  to  see  where  you  are  after  63  days!  Insanity  is  broken  down  into  3  Segments.</p>
<p>1st  segment  or  month  you  will  rotate  5  workouts(working  out  6  days  a  week  there  is  no  7  day  workout!  You  will  be  praying  for  the  rest  day,  lol.  About  35  minutes  a  day  for  month  1  workouts.</p>
<p>2nd  Segment  you  have  your  recovery  week  fundamentally  they  want  you  to  use  Core  Cardio  and  Balance  for  6  days.  I  just  swopped  amongst  Core  Cardio  and  Balance  and  Max  Interval  Sports  Training  to  get  me  ready  for  the  Maxed  out  month  2  workouts.</p>
<p>3rd  Segment  month  2  Things  actually  get  tough  for  the  last  month  at  this  point  the  workouts  are  when it comes to  25  (45-60  min  for  month  2  exercises)  minutes  longer  so  eat  more  healthful  foods!  New  workouts  and  New  moves  you  are  gonna  love  it!</p>

<p>With  all  this  said:  P90x  will  get  you  in  the  best  shape  of  your  life  with  respective  workouts  with  Weight  Training  and  Cardio  and  Flexibility  in  90  days.(  I  lost  47  pounds  with  p90x).Tony  Horton  will  keep  you  laughing  and  motivated  through  out  the  whole  90  days.</p>
<p>Shaun  T&#8217;s  Insanity  will  get  you  in  the  best  condition  of  your  life  with  your  own  body  weight  and  the  will  to  survive.  You  will  do  a large total  of  dissimilar  pull  ups  and  jump  moves  that  will  genuinely  tighten  and  enforce  your  entire  body.Insanity  also  has  Stretching  that  genuinely  works  deep  in  the  muscles.  If  you  have  any  weak  lower  body  constituents  like  legs  knees  lower  back  Insanity  might  not  be  a  good  choice  for  you  due  to  all  the  jumping.</p>
<p>Also  You  shouldn&#8217;t  jump  right  into  attempting  Shaun  T&#8217;s  Insanity  build  a  strong  fitness  foundation  before  attempting  Insanity.  Use  very  good  Running  shoes  with  Insanity  to  protect  your  joints  and  joint  support.<br />
<br />I  lost  13  pounds  with  Insanity  and  4  inches  off  my  waist!!  I  started  my  fitness  traveling  weighing  284  and  t  this  day  I  weigh  224  thanks  to  both  of  these  outstanding  and  intense  workouts!</p>

Ort<br />I&#8217;m  a  former  P90X  junkie.    That  program  in a literal sense  changed  my  life  and  got  me  into  the  best  shape  of  my  life,  even  at  40  years  old.    However,  this  is  not  P90X.    That  is  not  a  criticism  at  all,  just  don&#8217;t  suppose  more  of  the  same.    </p>
<p>This  is  all  floor  exercises  using  your  body  weight  with  a large total  of  plyometric  and  isometic  exercises,  cardio  and  core  exercise  that  will  work  you  &#8211;  hard.    The  exercises  come  fast  and  furious  with  a  good  mix  of  cardio  and  strength  building  (e.g.  squat  type  exercises  and  push-up  type  exercises).    But  it is  important  focus  is  the  CORE.    If  you  didn&#8217;t  recognise  what  that  meant  before  Insanity,  you  will  unquestionably  understand  it  once  you  begin.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s  broken  into  two  four  week  segments  with  a  &#8220;recovery&#8221;  (I  use  that  term  loosely..)  week  in  between.    The  warm-up  itself  is  a  workout.    The  basi  four  weeks  are  two  rounds  of  three  sets  of  a  series  of  exercises  equaling  regarding  40  minutes  per  session.    In  the  second  four  weeks  you&#8217;ll  find  a good deal of  of  the  warm-up  exercises  were  exercises  from  the  actual  program  from  the  primary  four  weeks.    And  the  program  itself  moves  to  three  rounds  of  three  dissimilar  sets  of  exercises  equaling  when it comes to  an  hour.    You&#8217;ll  genuinely  be  begging  to  go  back  to  the  basi  four  weeks.  If  you  like  crazy,  you&#8217;ll  love  it&#8230;</p>
<p>Shaun  T  is  a  good  motivator  and  provides  good  tips  regarding  proper  form  and  techniques.    The  music  adds  to  the  program  as  well;  as  each  routine  picks  up  intensity,  the  music  is  well  designed  to  keep  you  going.</p>
<p>It  is  tough  on  the  body,  though,  so  be  forewarned.    If  you  aren&#8217;t  in  galore  semblance  of  shape,  you  may  want  to  rethink  this  one.    I  pulled  a  neck  muscle  for the duration of  the  original  week  because  I  didn&#8217;t  breathe  properly.    It  will  tax  your  joints,  your  knees,  your  feet,  your  back.    If  you  are  injury  prone,  be  exceedingly  careful.    Modify  if  you  need  to  or  pass  on  it  altogether.</p>
<p>It  requires  severe  focus.    Breathing  is  key.    Drink  a large total  of  water.    And  move  at  your  own  pace.  Even  the  players  in  the  DVD  (including  Shaun  T)  have  to  quit  and  take  breaks.    It&#8217;s  that  intense.        </p>
<p>The  caveat  is  genuinely  only  this:  you  may  lose  numerous  of  the  &#8220;glamour&#8221;  muscles. Results:  maintained  my  body  weight  and  dropped  from  20  to  16%  body  fat  which  means  I  actually  built  muscle.</p>
<p>Final  reflections:  Using  the  CORE  (which  is  much  more  than  just  your  abs)  makes  all  the  difference.    Keep  it  tight,  no  shortcuts  and  you&#8217;ll  feel  your  power  increasing.    The  unfeigned  test  of  this  is  for the duration of  the  high  knee  run  in  the  warm-up  and  in  the  high  jumps  on  the  cardio  power  and  resistance  disc. I  did  P90X  in  the  summer  and  a  month  of  P90X+.    Great  programs  that  got  me  into  the  consistent  procedure  of  early  morning  (5  AM)  workouts  and  built  overall  strength,  coordination,  and  flexibility.    With  a  2  pound  weight  loss,  but,  I  confess  I  was  not  very  careful  with  the  nutrition  plan.</p>
<p>Enter  Insanity.    I  cut  out  white[flour]bakery  products,  sweets,  sweetened  drinks,  all  sodas,  and  desserts  except  for  once  a  week.    Then  I  started  the  craziness.    There&#8217;s  no  need  to  tell  what&#8217;s  in  the  package,  others  have  done  that.    Let  me  say  I  lost  12  pounds  and  an  inch  and  a  half  off  my  waistline  in  60  days.    This  on  a  frame  my  family  and  friends  said  had  not one thing  to  lose.    </p>
<p>This  program  works  if  you  follow  it.    Don&#8217;t  worry  with regards to  keeping  up  with  the  folks  on  the  video  because  NONE  of  them  do  all  of  the  routines  to  completion  on  any  of  the  DVDs.    You  do  your  best  at  YOUR  pace  but  it  has  to  be  your  BEST.    It  never  gets  more comfortable  because  as  you  get  more  conditioned,  you  do  more  repetitions.    You  ought to  do  the  Fit  Test  because  you  WILL  see  improvements  and  the  test  won&#8217;t  lie  and  it  will  keep  you  motivated.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s  not  easy  but  it  works.    Nothing  suitable  is  easy  so  why  ought to  this  be  different?    You  have  to  be  in  decent,  not  great,  shape,  and  follow  the  warnings  when it comes to  injuries  and  other  potential  health  difficulties  because  it  is  a  severe  workout.    But  if  you  get  the  green  light  and  you  stick  with  it,  you  won&#8217;t  regret  it.    There&#8217;s  not one thing  to  it  but  to  do  it.</p>
<p>PROGRAM  UPDATE:  I  have  finished  another  four  cycles  since  this  initial  review.    I  have  added  a heap of  variations  such  as  some  running  and  weight  workouts.    STILL,  I  cannot  do  ANY  Insanity  routine  all  the  way  through  without  taking  a  break  a  couple  of  times.    It&#8217;s  not  the  intense feelings of suffering  of  when  I  introductory  started  but  it&#8217;s  still  hard  and  remains  a  challenge  to  keep  doing.  However,  I  feel  better  than  I  ever  have  in  terms  of  conditioning  and  stamina  and  so  does  my  wife  who  has  started  and  continued  this  program  after  I  finished  my  primary  cycle.</p>

The  last  set,  Attacks,  is  only  a  series  of  punches  and  cross  jacks,  but  the  former  17  minutes  will  have  destroyed  you,  and  made  these  fantastically  tough.</p>
<p>So  which  is  the  tougher  of  the  two?  The  award  goes  to  the  Insanity  Plyometric  Cardio  Circuit.  Shorter  in  duration,  it  closely  qualifies  as  a  High  Intensity  Interval  Training  program,  coming  just  short  of  that  killer  intensity  so  that  you&#8217;re  capable  to  keep  going  for  all  20  minutes.  As  such  it  qualifies  as  Threshold  training,  and  trust  me,  that&#8217;s  punishing  enough.  The  P90X  is  done  at  a  lower  intensity,  but  for  a  much  longer  time,  so  that  those  60  minutes  end  up  chewing  you  up  even  as  you  work  your  way  through  them. Ort<br />I&#8217;m  a  former  P90X  junkie.    That  program  in a literal sense  changed  my  life  and  got  me  into  the  best  shape  of  my  life,  even  at  40  years  old.    However,  this  is  not  P90X.    That  is  not  a  criticism  at  all,  just  don&#8217;t  suppose  more  of  the  same.    </p>
<p>This  is  all  floor  exercises  using  your  body  weight  with  a large total  of  plyometric  and  isometic  exercises,  cardio  and  core  exercise  that  will  work  you  &#8211;  hard.    The  exercises  come  fast  and  furious  with  a  good  mix  of  cardio  and  strength  building  (e.g.  squat  type  exercises  and  push-up  type  exercises).    But  it is  necessary  focus  is  the  CORE.    If  you  didn&#8217;t  recognise  what  that  meant  before  Insanity,  you  will  unquestionably  understand  it  once  you  begin.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s  broken  into  two  four  week  segments  with  a  &#8220;recovery&#8221;  (I  use  that  term  loosely..)  week  in  between.    The  warm-up  itself  is  a  workout.    The  firstborn  four  weeks  are  two  rounds  of  three  sets  of  a  series  of  exercises  equaling  when it comes to  40  minutes  per  session.    In  the  second  four  weeks  you&#8217;ll  find  a heap of  of  the  warm-up  exercises  were  exercises  from  the  actual  program  from  the  initial  four  weeks.    And  the  program  itself  moves  to  three  rounds  of  three  dissimilar  sets  of  exercises  equaling  with regards to  an  hour.    You&#8217;ll  actually  be  begging  to  go  back  to  the  firstborn  four  weeks.  If  you  like  crazy,  you&#8217;ll  love  it&#8230;</p>
<p>Shaun  T  is  a  good  motivator  and  provides  good  tips  regarding  proper  form  and  techniques.    The  music  adds  to  the  program  as  well;  as  each  routine  picks  up  intensity,  the  music  is  well  designed  to  keep  you  going.</p>
<p>It  is  tough  on  the  body,  though,  so  be  forewarned.    If  you  aren&#8217;t  in  a heap of  semblance  of  shape,  you  may  want  to  rethink  this  one.    I  pulled  a  neck  muscle  for the duration of  the  original  week  because  I  didn&#8217;t  breathe  properly.    It  will  tax  your  joints,  your  knees,  your  feet,  your  back.    If  you  are  injury  prone,  be  exceedingly  careful.    Modify  if  you  need  to  or  pass  on  it  altogether.</p>
<p>It  requires  severe  focus.    Breathing  is  key.    Drink  a large total  of  water.    And  move  at  your  own  pace.  Even  the  players  in  the  DVD  (including  Shaun  T)  have  to  quit  and  take  breaks.    It&#8217;s  that  intense.        </p>
<p>The  caveat  is  actually  only  this:  you  may  lose  a lot of  of  the  &#8220;glamour&#8221;  muscles.    This  doesn&#8217;t  mean  you  will  get  less  strong  but  there  are  no  no  exercises  for  the  biceps  or  the  lats  (no  pull-ups  here).    However,  the  muscles  you  do  have  (especially  the  legs)  will  be  more inviolable  and  more  defined.    If  you  want  to  maintain  weight,  you  will  need  to  increase  your  feed  intake  huge  time,  in particular  as  the  program  progresses.</p>
<p>Your  body  will  modify  and  your  core  (including  the  abs)  will  be  more inviolable  than  you  ever  thought  possible  and  you  will  be  in  unbelievable  shape,  even  if  you  only  do  the  program  at  half  the  intensity.</p>
<p>I  give  it  a  definitive  thumbs  up  but  recognise  what  you  want  to  get  out  of  the  program  and  comprehend  what  it  is  in regards to  before  investing  your  time  and  cash  in  it.</p>
<p>UPDATE:  The  original  time  around  I  was  amazed  and  frustrated  with  the  loss  of  size  (due  to  lack  of  adequate  calorie  intake)  but  a  second  round  with  more  focus  is  constructing  positive  results.    The  body  fat  reduction  happened  from  the  top  down.    I  am  seeing  more  definition  in  the  shoulders  and  the  chest  and  seeing  muscles  in  and  around  the  abs,  exceptionally  the  obliques.    Things  just  feel  tighter  all  the  way  around.    The  &#8220;spare  tire&#8221;  thing  is  not  exclusively  gone  even though  I  feel  rather  ok  in  a  t-shirt  that  fits  rather  than  a  more spectacular  size  to  hide  behind.    Results:  maintained  my  body  weight  and  dropped  from  20  to  16%  body  fat  which  means  I  genuinely  built  muscle.</p>
<p>Final  reflections:  Using  the  CORE  (which  is  much  more  than  just  your  abs)  makes  all  the  difference.    Keep  it  tight,  no  shortcuts  and  you&#8217;ll  feel  your  power  increasing.    The  unfeigned  test  of  this  is  for the duration of  the  high  knee  run  in  the  warm-up  and  in  the  high  jumps  on  the  cardio  power  and  resistance  disc.    If  you  use  anything  other  than  your  core,  you  will  never  get  the  speed  and  power  and  you  peril  injuring  your  back.</p>
<p>If  I  could  emphasize  one  other  thing  it  is  to  continually  push  through.    One  more  rep,  one  more  second,  just  a  little  further  than  you  think  you  can.    Don&#8217;t  be  foolish,  recognize  your  limitations,  but  don&#8217;t  confuse  your  body&#8217;s  need  for  rest  with  your  mind&#8217;s  tendency  to  quit  too  soon.    </p>
<p>And,  just  as  a  reminder,  drink  a large total  and  a large total  of  water  before,  for the duration of  and  after.</p>
<p>Heads  up:  Shaun  T  has  a  new  program  just  out  called  Insanity:  The  Asylum  Deluxe.    It&#8217;s  a  30  day  program  using  sports  training  proficiencies  that  looks  brutal.    And  that&#8217;s  a  good  thing&#8230;</p>

N.  Sheridan<br />Okay,  I&#8217;m  54  and  have  run  regularly,  lifted  weights  but  couldn&#8217;t  get  the  reduction  in  inches  and  bodyfat  that  I  wanted.    I  did  P90X  in  the  summer  and  a  month  of  P90X+.    Great  programs  that  got  me  into  the  consistent  procedure  of  early  morning  (5  AM)  workouts  and  built  overall  strength,  coordination,  and  flexibility.    With  a  2  pound  weight  loss,  but,  I  confess  I  was  not  very  careful  with  the  nutrition  plan.</p>
<p>Enter  Insanity.    I  cut  out  white[flour]bakery  products,  sweets,  sweetened  drinks,  all  sodas,  and  desserts  except  for  once  a  week.    Then  I  started  the  craziness.    There&#8217;s  no  need  to  tell  what&#8217;s  in  the  package,  others  have  done  that.    Let  me  say  I  lost  12  pounds  and  an  inch  and  a  half  off  my  waistline  in  60  days.    This  on  a  frame  my  family  and  friends  said  had  not one thing  to  lose.    </p>
<p>This  program  works  if  you  follow  it.    Don&#8217;t  worry  with regards to  keeping  up  with  the  folks  on  the  video  because  NONE  of  them  do  all  of  the  routines  to  completion  on  any  of  the  DVDs.    You  do  your  best  at  YOUR  pace  but  it  has  to  be  your  BEST.    It  never  gets  having little impact  because  as  you  get  more  conditioned,  you  do  more  repetitions.    You  must  do  the  Fit  Test  because  you  WILL  see  improvements  and  the  test  won&#8217;t  lie  and  it  will  keep  you  motivated.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s  not  easy  but  it  works.    Nothing  suitable  is  easy  so  why  will have to  this  be  different?    You  have  to  be  in  decent,  not  great,  shape,  and  follow  the  warnings  with regards to  injuries  and  other  potential  health  difficultnesses  because  it  is  a  severe  workout.    But  if  you  get  the  green  light  and  you  stick  with  it,  you  won&#8217;t  regret  it.    There&#8217;s  not one thing  to  it  but  to  do  it.</p>
<p>PROGRAM  UPDATE:  I  have  finished  another  four  cycles  since  this  original  review.    I  have  added  galore  variations  such  as  some  running  and  weight  workouts.    STILL,  I  cannot  do  ANY  Insanity  routine  all  the  way  through  without  taking  a  break  a  couple  of  times.    It&#8217;s  not  the  intense feelings of suffering  of  when  I  basi  started  but  it&#8217;s  still  hard  and  remains  a  challenge  to  keep  doing.  However,  I  feel  better  than  I  ever  have  in  terms  of  conditioning  and  stamina  and  so  does  my  wife  who  has  started  and  continued  this  program  after  I  finished  my  firstborn  cycle.</p>

Widman<br />I  got  this  for  Xmas  and  was  very  excessively affected emotionally  &#8211;  expended  the  primary  four  days  doing  this  according  to  plan.    I  ought to  add  that  I  am  in  my  30&#8242;s  and  instruct  fitness  classes  at  my  gym  and  am  in  gorgeous  decent  shape.    I  exercise  regularly.    However,  I  have  a  history  of  issues  with  my  knees.    I  may  keep out of the way of  flare  ups  if  I  stay clear from  lunges,  etc.  This  DVD  set  makes  it  in a literal sense  inconceivable  for  persons  with  joint  issues  &#8211;  specially  knees  &#8211;  to  participate  in  this  without  severely  injuring  themselves.    This  is  stated  on  the  warning  at  the  beginning  of  the  program  &#8211;  however,  nowhere  did  I  read  that  before  dropping  $150  to  order.    Shaun  T  is  awful  &#8211;  the  program  is  challenging  and  if  you  are  looking  for  something  to  use  at  home,  get  this.    It  is  addicting  and  intense.    However,  if  you  have  even  the  slightest  issue  with  your  knees,  DO  NOT  BUY  THIS!</p>

<p>Jaye  and  I  have  been  doing  the  P90X  Workouts  for  a  while  now.</p>
<p>Well  let  me  just  say  that  this  is  the  best  home  workout  system  available!  Hands  down,  this  is  the  winner.  Within  a  week  of  doing  this  workout  at  home,  Jaye  and  I  canceled  our  gym  membership  and  we  haven&#8217;t  looked  back!  It  is  SO  much  fun,  and  SO  effective.</p>
<p>P90X  comprises  of  12  DVD&#8217;s  that  you  do  in  dissimilar  sequences  according  to  three  phases.  Each  phase  is  3  weeks  followed  by  a  recovery  week.</p>
<p>The  P90X  workouts  are  as  follows:</p>
<p>Chest  and  Back<br />
<br />Plyometrics<br />
<br />Shoulders  and  Arms<br />
<br />Yoga  X<br />
<br />Cardio  X<br />
<br />Kenpo  X<br />
<br />Legs  and  Back<br />

<p>You  work  out  7  days  a  week  doing  a  specific  sequence  of  P90X  workouts  according  to  the  phase  you&#8217;re  in.</p>
<p>There  are  also  three  variations  that  you  may  choose  from.  There  is  the  classic  P90X  (which  we  do),  the  P90X  lean  and  P90X  Doubles.</p>
<p>Lean  is  for  those  who  are  perhaps  not  as  strong  or  who  do  not  want  to  build  up  as  much  lean  muscle  mass  and  want  to  focus  a  little  more  on  weight  loss.  The  classic  version  is  the  frequent  version  and  doubles  is  for  the  nutters  who  want  to  add  extra  cardio  in  on  top  of  their  daily,  insane,  ordinary  workout.</p>
<p><b>The  P90X  workouts  are  NOT  for  the  faint-hearted</b></p>
<p>This  is  hard  core  folks.  This  is  not  for  any person  who  is  just  starting  to  work  out.  This  is  for  humans  who  are  already  fit,  already  strong,  but  want  to  genuinely  take  it  to  the  next  level.</p>
<p>Phase  One  of  the  P90X  workouts  for  the  classic  version  go  as  follows:</p>
<p>Week  1-3</p>
<p>Day  1  &#8211;  Chest  and  Back,  Ab  Ripper  X<br />
<br />Day  2  &#8211;  Plyometrics<br />
<br />Day  3  &#8211;  Shoulders  and  Arms,  Ab  Ripper  X<br />
<br />Day  4  &#8211;  Yoga  X<br />
<br />Day  5  &#8211;  Legs  and  Back,  Ab  Ripper  X<br />
<br />Day  6  &#8211;  Kenpo  X<br />
<br />Day  7  &#8211;  X  Stretch</p>
<p>Then  in  week  4  you  have  a  recovery  week  (which  doesn&#8217;t  mean  you  rest,  not  a  chance)  where  you  do  Core  Synergistics  twice,  Cardio  X  once,  Yoga  X  twice  and  X  Stretch  twice.</p>
<p>Then  you  move  onto  the  second  phase  where  Chest  and  Back  becomes  Chest,  Shoulders  and  Triceps,  and  Shoulders  and  arms  becomes  Back  and  Biceps.</p>
<p>The  second  phase  is  another  3  weeks,  followed  by  a  recovery  week  which  is  the  same  as  week  4.  Then  onto  phase  3  where  you  switch  among  phase  1  and  2  workouts  for  the  full  four  week  amount of time  and  then  you  may  start out  over  at  the  beginning  again!</p>
<p>Good  times,  good  times.  We  have  been  having  SO  much  fun  with  this.  Jaye  and  I  are  working  out  hard  together  and  we  just  love  it.  It  is  the  introductory  time  we  have  in truth  been  competent  to  work  out  together,  commonly  if  we  were  in  the  gym  we  would  be  following  dissimilar  programs.  The  fact  that  we  may  do  this  together  is  in truth  awesome.</p>
<p><b>There  is  no  way  you  could  ever  get  TOO  fit  for  this  program!</b></p>
<p>The  fitter  and  more inviolable  you  get,  the  more  you  are  capable  to  do,  that  is  all.  It  is  designed  to  be  capable  to  challenge  you  powerfully  no  matter  how  high  a  level  you  have  already  achieved.</p>
<p><b>This  is  the  uttermost  workout</b></p>
<p>I  am  SO  happy  that  I  have  found  a  workout  program  that  I  cannot  see  myself  ever  getting  tired  of.  It  is  so  varied,  so  challenging  and  just  so  much  damn  fun.</p>
<p>The  only  one  of  the  P90X  workouts  I  don&#8217;t  like  so  much  is  the  Kenpo  X.  I  have  seen  P90X  reviews  where  others  say  this  is  their  favorite,  so  unquestionably  don&#8217;t  take  my  word  on  this.  Both  Jaye  and  I  have  just  found  it  a  little  boring.  So  rather  we  do  the  Cardio  X  workout  on  Kenpo  X  days  and  that  suits  us  both  very  well.</p>
<p><b>The  primary  time  you  do  the  P90X  workouts  you  will  just  be  laughing  and  shaking  your  head  and  exclaiming  how  INSANE  it  is!</b></p>
<p>One  armed  pushups  with  jumps  and  claps  and  all  sorts  of  crazy  things  I  had  surely  never  done  before!</p>
<p>The  plyometrics  will  have  you  seeing  stars  and  breaking  your  record  for  the  most eminent  heart  rate  ever.  This  is  exclusively  crazy,  but  enormously  fun.  As  I  get  fitter  I  jump  higher,  squat  lower  and  my  legs  are  so  wondrous  toned  these  days  you&#8217;ll  scarcely  see  me  in  anything  except  short  shorts  or  micro  minis!  The  legs  and  back  workout  is  killer  too!</p>
<p><b>Don&#8217;t  think  you&#8217;re  in  for  an  easy  time  on  the  yoga!</b></p>
<p>This  is  Yoga  X  as  Tony  Horton  says,  no  dogging  it  allowed.  It  is  a  power  sweat  session  that  will  keep  your  heart  rate  to the full or entire extent  in  &#8216;the  zone&#8217;  with  no  disturb  whatsoever.  The  only  &#8216;easy&#8217;  workout  is  X-Stretch  which  comes  at  the  end  of  a  hectic  week  and  is  JUST  what  you  need,  and  leaves  you  sentiment  plainly  amazing.</p>
<p>It  is  inspiring,  highly  motivating,  and  most  of  all,  it  is  effective  as  heck  and  a  shedload  of  fun!</p>
<p>And  of  course,  no  need  to  follow  their  nutritional  counsel  if  you&#8217;re  a  low  fat  raw  vegan  like  us,  just  get  those  fruit  carbs  in  and  watch  your  muscles  grow.</p>
<p>So  go  for  it!</p>
<p><b>If  you  were  deliberating  and  marveling  &#8211;  Does  P90X  work?  &#8211;  then  the  answer  is  Hell  YES!</b></p>

I&#8217;ve  employed  a good deal of  other  workout  tapes  (e.g.,  The  Firm),  but  the  dulcet  tones  of  the  exercise  leaders  and  the  coded  aerobics  language  that  they  use  make  me  feel  like  I&#8217;m  being  assimilated  into  a  Fitness  Cult.    Brinkus  is  more  like  that  jock  you  knew  in  high  school  who  turned  out  to  be  a  finelooking  nice  guy  after  all&#8211;his  instructions  are  plain,  simple  and  well  paced,  without  jargon  but  spiced  with  a  &#8220;hey,gang&#8221;  kind  of  enthusiasm.    Even  those  not  applied  to  exercise  will  find  this  tape  somewhat  easy  to  get  into.</p>

<p>If  you  want  to  get  back  into  shape  you  will  need  to  look  at  your  program  a  little  differently  than  the  guy  who  was  never  in  shape  in  the  primary  place.  That&#8217;s  because  your  muscles  have  a  dissimilar  capacity  if  you  have  been  in  shape  at  a good deal of  point  in  your  life  than  if  you  were  starting  out  for  the  basi  time.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s  say  you  employed  to  run  marathons  and  are  now  30  pounds  heavier  than  your  running  days.  If  you  went  out  to  the  track  with  somebody  who  has  never  run  a  marathon  but  rather  ran  the  remote  control  from  his  Lazy  Boy,  you&#8217;ll  quickly  see  the  divergence  in  muscle  capacity  and  lung  capacity.</p>
<p>Get  a  physical  exam  before  attempting  any  workout  if  you  re  over  40  or  have  two  or  more  of  the  following  risk  factors:  a  family  history  of  heart  disease,  you&#8217;re  a  smoker,  you&#8217;re  sedentary,  you&#8217;re  overweight,  or  you  have  high  cholesterol  or  high  blood  pressure.</p>
<p>The  sarcasm  is  of  course  that  these  are  the  precise  reasons  to  get  fanatical  with regards to  working  out  after  age  40  because  you  will  be  a  nominee  for  these  health  risks  if  you  don&#8217;t  exercise.</p>
<p>So  if  you  are  starting  out  with  a  new  fitness  routine,  here&#8217;s  what  I  commend  as  the  best  men&#8217;s  fitness  workout  routine  if  you&#8217;re  over  40.  Get  a  bicycle,  a  jump  rope,  an  abdominal  wheel  and  a  set  of  10  and  20  lb.  dumbbells  and  at last  a  boxing  rounds  timer.  You  may  genuinely  test  yourself  with  just  this  little  instrumentation  alone.  This  program  is  not  for  the  sedentary.</p>
<p>Try  this  routine  for  a  month  and  check  your  waistline  once  a  week  with  a  tape  measure.</p>
<p>First,  do  a  five-minute  warm-up  by  cycling,  come  back  and  begin  your  jump  rope  for  five  minutes  at  regarding  40%  of  your  full  effort.</p>
<p>Set  the  boxing  timer  for  two  minute  round  time  and  30  seconds  rest.  Start  with  six  rounds.  If  you  are  reasonable  fit,  you  may  start out  with  push  ups  on  the  primary  round  and  keep  going  until  you  finish  the  round.  If  you  have  trouble  completing  the  push  ups  for  the  entire  two  minutes,  go  to  your  knees  and  continue.</p>
<p>Round  One:  If  you  are  good  at  push-ups,  go  for  as  galore  as  you  may  within  the  time  allowed.</p>
<p>Round  Two:  Switch  to  the  jump  rope  on  round  two  and  begin  off  easy.  Your  shoulders  will  injure  but  this  round  allows  your  muscles  to  work  out  the  lactic  acid.  Now  of  course  your  lungs  will  hurt;  but  it  is  a  good  feeling.</p>
<p>Round  Three:  After  the  30  second  rest,  go  for  an  intense  two  minute  round  with  the  jump  rope  and  hit  70%  of  your  intensity.  Rest  for  the  30  second  break.</p>
<p>Round  Four:  Get  on  your  knees  and  carry out  two  minutes  of  ab  wheel  exercises.  This  will  get  our  core  nice  and  strong.  You  will  be  stretching  your  body  and  building  your  back  and  shoulders  as  well.  Rest  for  the  30  second  break.  When  you  get  actually  good  at  this,  you  may  go  to  the  full  ab  wheel  stretch  starting  from  a  standing.  This  is  called  a  super  extension  roll.  To  keep away from  back  pain,  maintain  proper  alignment  and  use  your  core.</p>
<p>Round  Five:  Grab  those  10  or  20  lb  dumbbells  and  get started  to  work  your  shoulders  with  standing  dumbbell  press.  You  will  be  doing  them  for  two  minutes  so  pace  yourself  and  maintain  proper  form.</p>
<p>Round  Six:  Go  back  to  the  jump  rope  and  fire  off  two  minutes  of  intense  rope  work.</p>
<p>Cool-down  in  the  same  way  you  warmed  up.  Try  to  do  two  minute  rounds  at  first,  then  gradually  work  your  way  up  to  the  three  minute  rounds.  Repeat  the  workout  three  to  four  days  a  week.</p>
