Bodybuilder Cover Model Sagi Kalev Abs

Over the last one hundred years, the effigy of the physically strong, confident, muscular woman has been the object of derision, fascination, and (erotic|sexual pleasure|sexually arousing fantasy; she is many times portrayed, in both photography and illustration, as a sexy dominatrix, sexless mannequin, or sideshow freak. In this arousing and attention holding collection of rare archival images from the late-nineteenth to the mid-twentieth century, writers David L. Chapman and Patricia Vertinsky trace the peculiar yet arousing and attention holding history of muscular women in general culture.

One of the battlefields in this cultural conflict appeared in general imagery: posters, advertisements, comic books, magazine illustrations, and (most particularly) photography all offered outlets of expression for a good deal of muscular women. Until rather recently, however, such females were packaged for the popular public as physical monstrosities, lesbian man-haters, kinky sex objects, or finelooking living statues. At the same time, a good deal of women, including those in the emergent female bodybuilder community, have had to fight hard to reclaim the effigy of female muscularity as their own.

Featuring a lot of two hundred full-color and black-and-white illustrations, a lot of never before published, Venus with Biceps is a gorgeous and throughout history substantial book with regards to gender, image, social expectations, and female power.

David L. Chapman has written extensive on gay (erotic|sexual pleasure|sexually arousing photography and male bodybuilders.

Patricia Vertinsky is a professor at the School of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia who has written four former books on sports and gender.

Review

“A celebration of female strength, Venus with Biceps proves that today’s hard-arm look dates way back—even if, as coauthor David L. Chapman puts it, muscular women ‘risk being seen … as dangerous.’” —People magazine

“A genuinely arousing and attention holding tour of the hardbodied heroines of the photographic age … I opened the book prepared to gawk at the weirdness of a past when most women were tiny, fluffy, corseted creatures and those who weren’t were sent to the freak show, but by the time I’d read it through to the end, I’d realized that not one thing of any signification has occurred in the realm of thinking when it comes to women’s figures for at least a hundred years. An edifying read indeed.” —The New Yorker

“Chapman and Vertinsky collaborate for a arousing and attention holding portrayal of the world of female bodybuilding … The writers have invented an magnificent collection of thoughtfully-curated photos and essays; the result is an intriguing look at a little regarded amount of time in sports history.” —Publishers Weekly

“Simply jaw-droppingly astounding … This coffee table-sized paperback is so heavy and heaving with astonishing images that one builds one’s own bice ps in reading it.” —EDGE (New York, etc.)

“This arousing and attention holding visual history uses archival images, posters, comic books, magazine illustrations and photography to trace the history of the physically strong, muscular woman and of society’s evolving complex mental states toward female strength.” —Seattle Times

    wow, that is insane.
People, he may have good genetics, but even that wont get you abs like that. That would be hard training, cardio, and stricked and complex diet. Its called bodybuilding. The pros do it all the time for shows. This guy has just prefected the art of loosing body fat. Yes, genetics help too. But im sure he hasn’t drank that much water 2 weeks before this video either, hence the cameraman saying “thats as dry as you can get”.

it is close to impossible to achieve that kind of body fat percentage without the use of speacial kind of supplements. you know what i mean. but everyone has to make his own choice, it doesn’t mean that he didn’t train hard to achieve that type of physique. he must have trained really hard.

its eisye for skinny people to get six pack, but for us little more fat, we have to burn more fat than the skinny ones. Im working on my abs now and after 1 month its starting to get shape, without getting any time on the gym.

No way it’s gotta be lower than that. When he pulls the skin together there is no fat in between and you can these the guy’s veins in his stomach. I would say lower than 4
